We play outdoor games during our free time. Now, more children use their spare time indoor to play video games. The limitation of social interaction with other kids can affect you child.
How much time did your child spend on video games? These console games is a substitute to their social contact with other kids. These kids stayed home to make them think that their environment on video game is better instead of interacting with other kids at their age. As parent can you make that change?
It is not easy as we may think to prepare our kids to their adolescence. We've been there and we know that upon we reach teenage years you've notice the change in your body. We find outlet or activities away to pressure and tension. In virtual world of video games they can change themselves to some else. They have so much chance to correct their mistake and they can do it all over again to make it right.
Our world is not the same with virtual world. Games are fun to check our skill level in reaching our goal but it is not a replacement of socialization. If you child spend more time on playing games than playing outside with kids, chances are this will bring an effect on the child feel uneasy with other people.
As parent we need to be aware of how much time our kids on the game. It's like an inner circle of friends for boys. They talk about the graphics, techniques, and who got the highest score is the way to get to know each other. It is an awesome and cool thing for them.
To that end, you can find a happy medium with a daily limit on video game time. Place the gaming console in the family room where it can only be accessed at certain times. You can also monitor the types of video games they are playing especially when their friends bring games over.
There should be a balance time and not more on video games. They should interest in any other subject and not only about video games like what the latest fashion, about with their female friends, or maybe what they plan for the weekends.
Will you notice when video games making a problem?

Do they spend outside play game or they rather play video game with their friends?
Do their friends even come over?
Take stock of your child's behavior. If they are spending too much time in the world of fast cars, monster aliens and dragons, maybe it's time to get them to mingle with some real people. Everyone even kids need to share their lives with other people who can talk back to them. Limit video game and encourage more social interaction.
